Juanita Geraldine “Geri” (Smith) Truscott, 82- year old Vinita resident entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, December 3, 2020 surrounded by her daughters. She was born on January 28, 1938 to Anon H Smith and Juanita Roxanne Smith. She met her husband Richard Truscott in Ridgecrest, California, where they were married for 48 years,  They moved to Oklahoma in the late 70’s. She worked for Cinch in Vinita, Oklahoma where she retired. Geri loved her family, country living, gardening, horses, going to racetracks and the casinos.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Richard Truscott, son: Jeffrey Dean “JD” Boyle, brother: Gary Smith and half-brother: Gerald Lemoyne Smith (Edna) of Vinita, Oklahoma.

The family includes her children: Sue Martinez of Vinita, Oklahoma, Janet Gray of Azle, Texas and son: Roy”RD” Boyle of Yuma, Arizona, siblings: Larry Smith(Alice) of Mulvane, Kansas, Richard Smith(Sharon) of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Linda Fair (late husband Charlie) of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Victor Smith (Virginia) of Vinita, Oklahoma and John Smith (Edna) of Vinita, Oklahoma. She Has 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services were held Saturday December 5, 2020 at 11:00 am at Carselowey Cemetery in Ketchum, Oklahoma with Reverend M.E. Cashen officiating. Visitation was held on December 4, 2020 at Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral Chapel from 6 pm -7 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made by the individual to the charity of their choice.
