Fredrick Parks "Park" Carter, 48 year old well known Vinita resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at his home. He was born on January 10, 1972 in Vinita to parishioners Chris and Jody (Looney) Carter. Park was a 1990 graduate of Vinita High School and went to college at NEO A&M in Miami and NSU in Tahlequah. Park married Allison Goodpaster on May 13, 2006 in Vinita.
Park was active in the Vinita community, helping many kids fix their bikes, skateboards and scooters; he loved helping others. When he was younger, Park rode for Team Mongoose as a BMX Freestyle Rider, traveling all over displaying his talents. He also collected VWs and arrowheads. Park liked to golf, fish, go to sprint car races, and most of all traveling with his family. He had been an active part in the Shout & Sack business with his parents as well, before beginning his business Green Cross Dispensary. Park would often in the winter drive his tractor to town and clear snow off driveways for people who were unable to do so. He loved the people of Vinita and always wanted to help the community.
Park's family includes: his wife Allison of the home; two children, Madeline and Bodee Carter of the home; his parents, Chris and Jody Carter of Vinita; a brother, Timothy C. Carter and wife Roben and their children, Joanna and Scotty of Clarksville, TN; a sister, Launi Bo Wylie and husband Nathan and their children, Jackson, Raelyn and Elliet of Vinita; his special surrogate parents, Jack and Willa Melton of Vinita; his loving aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives. Park was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Casket Bearers were: Joey Johnson, Stowe Emerson, Cory Gray, Danny Turner, Buddy Hall and Lonnie Loges. Honorary Bearers were the Scooter Boys.
