Proceeds are gifted back into our community.

Led by co-chairs Vanessa Hicks, Brittany Selby, and Donna Koon, the October 9, 2021 event was again held jointly with the Route 66 Car Show, sponsored by the Craig County Cruisers. Our 34th Annual Oktoberfest in Vinita was also designated as a sesquicentennial event with Vinita's year-long 150th Anniversary celebrations.
Oktoberfest was held at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church campus under three large tents: one each for food booths, children's activities and games, and an entertainment tent with Biergarten. Nearly 60 indoor and outdoor craft booths were on site, with a spectacular Silent Auction, the German-American Society Dancers and Glaskapelle German Band of Tulsa, local and area entertainers, singer Madi McGuire, cake walks, petting zoo, pony rides, and a mechanical bull ride. The always popular OU-Texas game was displayed so football fans didn't have to miss the traditional rivalry.
A variety of delicious foods were available: German fare, Mexican dishes, Asian food, the church ladies' baked goods booth, BBQ ribs, fried fish dinners, funnel cakes, chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, kettle corn, fried cheesecake on-a-stick, German baked goods, cotton candy, and sno cones. Visitors purchased raffle tickets for large prizes that were drawn at the conclusion of the event.
Tours of Holy Ghost parish's beautiful stained glass windows were offered by Father Cashen.
This tremendously popular family-friendly event involved the whole community, with proceeds gifted back to various local charities. St. Francis Hospital-Vinita and BancFirst were the corporate sponsors of this year's event, as well as numerous business and organizations throughout Craig County. Many thanks to all who attended, volunteered, cooked, vendored, sponsored and contributed to make our 2021 Oktoberfest one of the most successful ever!
Plan to join us again in 2022 for our 35th Annual Oktoberfest in Vinita!
